FOR SENIOR CONSULTANTS · APPLICATION

The second act of your practice — built with a curated room of 4,200+ peers, not a platform.

SGC Network is the professional network where senior consultants, advisors, and fractional leaders compound their next chapter — and where clients find them in 48 hours.

CHAPTER I · THE FILTER

A vetting rubric that protects both sides of the table.

Every member clears a proprietary 41-point credential review before joining. Only 7.3% of applicants are accepted each quarter — the same standard applied to former operators, Big 4 partners, and post-MBB independents alike.

  1. 01

    Credential verification

Every tenure claim, board seat, and prior firm is independently confirmed. No anonymous profiles, no self-reported pedigree. One hundred percent of members are credential-verified.

  2. 02

    Seniority floor

Eight or more years of operating or advisory experience, with a documented track record of leading engagements — not contributing to them. The room does not include junior generalists.

  3. 03

    Reference diligence

Two client references and one peer reference contacted per applicant. We speak to the people who hired you, not just the people who liked you.

  4. 04

    Conduct & conflict review

A standing review for non-compete, conflict-of-interest, and professional-conduct history. Clients receive a clean counterparty; members receive a clean marketplace.

CHAPTER II · THE ECONOMICS

What members actually see in year one.

Sourced benchmarks from the 2024 member cohort and an independent 2023 Forrester study. These are the numbers members report after twelve months on the network.

71 NPS

Member satisfaction, against an industry average of 22.

Measured by the 2024 Consulting Bench survey across active members.

41 HOURS

Median time-to-shortlist, end to end.

From brief posting to a three-candidate shortlist, across 11,300 engagements placed since 2018.

$284M 2024 FEES

In cumulative consulting fees facilitated last year.

The addressable market for senior independents on the network, without the sales team.

42% CLIENT SAVINGS

Average savings vs. comparable Big Four or MBB engagements.

Audited by an independent 2023 Forrester study — a cleaner sales conversation, not a discount.

CHAPTER III · THE ROOM

Which one are you?

Four of the six member archetypes who find their next engagement on SGC. The cohort skews heavily toward the post-MBB solo and the fractional operator — but the room is not monolithic.

ARCHETYPE 01

Former Big 4 partner

Twenty-two former partners of MBB firms currently on the network. Built for the independent who already has the rolodex and needs the inbound — not the platform.

ARCHETYPE 02

Ex-operator fractional CFO

The former operating CFO who now serves two or three companies part-time. Most of the fractional mandates on the network come from this cohort.

ARCHETYPE 03

Independent strategy advisor

The solo practitioner ten years out of the firm, working on pricing, GTM, and growth engagements with mid-market and PE-backed companies.

ARCHETYPE 04

Boutique firm owner

Running a five-to-fifteen-person advisory firm that wants project overflow from clients it cannot staff without diluting senior attention.

CHAPTER IV · THE OPERATING ETHOS

SGC Network is built on three operating principles that determine who thrives here.

First, seniority. The network is a room of peers — not a marketplace of bidders. Pricing pressure and race-to-the-bottom proposals are not how clients find the right advisor, and the platform is engineered to keep them out.

Second, reciprocity. Members who refer work to other members are recognized for it; members who spam the network with spray-and-pray pitches are not. The platform's matching algorithm weights fit and responsiveness above activity volume.

Third, no platform theatrics. There are no badges, no leaderboards, no "top consultant of the week." Engagement decisions belong to clients and consultants. The network's job is to put two prepared parties in a clean room and stay out of the way.

This is not the right place for a generalist looking for an Upwork-style gig feed. It is the right place for a senior operator who wants the next decade of their practice to compound with peers they would actually choose to share a room with.

CHAPTER V · THE NEXT MOVE

The next cohort closes Friday.

Applications take twelve minutes. A senior partner reviews every submission within five business days. If accepted, your profile goes live the following Monday.
